廖宗湖,教授、博导、石大学者。2008年获得福州大学勘查技术与工程学士学位,分别于2012年和2013年获得美国俄克拉荷马大学能源学院硕士和博士学位。2013年底在美国俄克拉荷马州地质调查局担任研究科学家。2014年回国工作,组建了断裂动力学研究团队,2016年-2017年兼任清华大学遥感大数据研究中心副主任、清华物联网遥感大数据研究中心副主任,2021年底创建中国石油大学区块链金融研究中心,并推动建立中国石油大学—上海期货交易所金融实验室。在地学领域的主要学术贡献是提出了HARD断层摩擦定律,同时为我国中低丰度烃源岩形成大中型油气田提供断裂动力学的科学依据。主持国家自然基金委中国—以色列国际合作项目、科技部重点研发子课题等,在Earth & Planetary Science Letters、Geophys. J. Int.、AAPG Bulletin等国际主流期刊上发表论文20余篇。任《Interpretation》特约主编、《石油科学通报》编委、《Petroleum Science》青年编委,担任国家自然基金研究项目、国家级人才项目评审专家和10多个国际期刊审稿人。
研究方向:断裂动力学、油气大数据、区块链技术及其应用。
