On March 30, a three-member delegation led by Ali Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to China, visited China University of Petroleum (CUP) for exchanges. Chen Feng, Chancellor of CUP met with the delegation led by Dhaheri.Heads of the International Office and College of International Education participated in the meeting.  

Chen Feng extended his warm welcome to the delegation. He reviewed the history of cooperation between CUP and the UAE, mainly introduced the cooperation between CUP and Khalifa University, and invited Dhaheri to participate in a series of activities for the 70^th  Anniversary of CUP. Dhaheri affirmed the strength and achievements of CUP, and expressed his willingness to help CUP further expand cooperation with UAE universities, and promote the implementation of international winter camp projects and “school-enterprise” cooperation models. The two sides also conducted in-depth exchanges on deepening scientific research cooperation and strengthening collaborative innovation, and stated that they would make concerted efforts to promote friendly exchanges between the two peoples, continuously expand cooperation areas and promote win-win development.

After the meeting, Dhaheri also had a discussion and exchange with students of CUP, actively promoted the UAE and its universities, patiently answered the questions raised by the students, and encouraged them to study hard, grow into leading talents in the energy field, and to contribute to the energy cooperation between China and the UAE.

The delegation led by Dhaheri also visited the University History Museum and the State Key Laboratory of Heavy Oil Processing.
