On 3rd June, THE released the 8th ranking of Asian universities, including 489 Asian universities from 30 countries and regions. CUP ranks 132nd among Asian universities and 33rd among Chinese mainland universities, which is the best-ranking result in recent three years.
CUP has improved its Asia ranking and domestic ranking in this ranking compared with the previous ranking, especially when the number of participated universities of the ranking is increasing in the past three years. In addition, CUP has always performed well in the "industry income" index and is at a high maintenance level. The score of CUP is 88.0 in the ranking. THE Asia University ranking uses the same 13 performance indicators as the world university ranking and adjusts the weight of indicators to reflect and adapt to the characteristics of Asian universities. At the same time, the core missions of teaching, scientific research, knowledge transfer and international outlook are compared comprehensively and evenly.
