On 6 June 2019, Academician Saule Aidarova from Kazakh-British Technical University of Kazakhstan (KBTU), a member of Worldwide Energy University Network (WEUN), visited the WEUN Secretariat at China University of Petroleum-Beijing (CUPB). Yao Jun, Deputy Secretary-General, and WEUN Secretariat staff attended the meeting.

　　Yao Jun warmly welcomed Saule Aidarova and passed warm greetings from Sun Xudong (Secretary-General) to her. Yao introduced the activities of WEUN since its establishment and work arrangements for this year. Saule Aidarova expressed full affirmation to the work of WEUN Secretariat, and then shared the experience of cooperation between KBTU and Kazakhstan oil industry in recent years and international student activities.

　　After that, the two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on how to exchange   students to each other, establishment of joint research laboratories, and exchange of visits by university leaders and joint development of student educational and cultural activities under the framework of WEUN.
