Recently,  Duan Weixing, a mechanical engineering master student of grade 2019 from the College of Safety and Ocean Engineering of CUP, won the gold medal at the 16th Russian"NEW TIME" International Salon of Inventions and New Technologies with his invention project "A new type of Quick Connect Disconnect Couplers (QCDC) for unloading arm of liquefied natural gas ".

By connecting multiple pressure rods with the same sleeve ring, multiple fastening components can be operated simultaneously using single hydraulic cylinder action, which solves the problem that the action of fastening components is out of sync and automatically opens after fastening.Compared with the existing QCDC structure, it is more simplified and saves more space for the existence of hydraulic cylinders. And the synchronization control of the fastening mechanism becomes simpler.Under the condition of ensuring the same manufacturing process and installation of each fastening component, the problem of leakage caused by non-uniform stress in the preloading of conventional flange connection structure is solved.
