Admission Requirements:
Graduation & Degree Requirements
The PhD degree is awarded for satisfactory completion of a graduate program at a higher level of course work than is normally completed for the M.S. degree. A candidate is required to complete 16 credits courses and an acceptable dissertation which appropriate to the degree requirements.
Formal thesis defense for PhD degree is held according to “China University of Petroleum Beijing Degree-conferring Detailed Codes.” Candidates must complete literature review and proposal. The time between proposal and defense must be more than 18 months.
Career Prospect
Most of graduates find jobs in oil and petrochemical companies such as CNPC, Sinopec, CNOOC and SINOCHEM or work as researchers, designers and managers in research institutions. And some graduates enroll in chemical research institutions.
