Prof. LIN Changsong visits CUPB
College of Geosciences, Nov. 26, 2014 : On November 18, Prof. LIN Changsong, chair of Oceanography School, China University of Geosciences delivered a speech named “Basin geomorphological evolution and Source to Sink System”. He was invited by Professors ZHU Xiaomin and JIN Hancheng.
Prof. LIN Changsong talked about the recent international research progress of Source to Sink System. Moreover, his team came up with new research idea and significant progress about Orogenic belt landscape, Basin landforms, Tectonic paleogeographic recovery and so on.
Background Information:
Changsong Lin is a professor of geology in the Department of Energy Resources, China University of Geosciences in Beijing. He received his M.S. degree in 1984 and Ph.D. in 1988 from the China University of Geosciences in Beijing. His research interests include sedimentology, basin analysis, and basin process modeling. His recent work has focused on the sequence stratigraphy and basin-filling dynamics of the Mesozoic–Cenozoic basins in northeast and west China.
