According to the General Office of the Ministry of Education, 6 majors of CUP, namely, Energy and Power Engineering, Process Equipment and Control Engineering, Oil and Gas Storage and Transportation Engineering, Offshore Oil and Gas Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, and Computer Science and Technology, are approved as the national first-class undergraduate major. 3 majors are approved as the provincial first-class undergraduate major, including Automation, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics and Marketing.
Up to now, 17 majors of CUP are in the list of national first-class undergraduate major and 5 in the list of provincial first-class undergraduate major. The majors selected as national or provincial first-class undergraduate major account for nearly 70% of CUP’s undergraduate majors.
