On April 8th, 2019, the Secretariat of the Worldwide Energy University Network was formally established and held its first working meeting. Sun Xudong, Secretary General, Yao Jun, Deputy Secretary-General and other secretariat staff attended the meeting. The meeting mainly discussed the seventh round of modification of "Constitution of the Worldwide Energy University Network" and the work plan for the year of 2019.
According to the feedback of the "Constitution of the Worldwide Energy University Network" from member universities, Sun Xudong put forward constructive suggestions on the governance structure, work tasks, membership policy, establishment of management institutions and funds. Attendees focused on in-depth discussions on detailed modifications to the constitution. Finally, the meeting discussed the work plan of the WEUN Secretariat in 2019, and put all the work into practice to ensure that the work would be carried out in order.
Since the establishment of the Worldwide Energy University Network, all the work has been carried out in an orderly and gradual manner. With the preliminary completion of the website, the operation of the Worldwide Energy University Network is on the right track and entering a rapid development stage, which will strongly promote the construction of the international level of CUPB.
