On March 25, 2019, Professor Mofazzal Hossain of Curtin University, Australia, was invited to the Petroleum Engineering College of China University of Petroleum (Beijing) to give a lecture entitled "Curtin University: An Overview of Scientific Research Trends in the Department of Petroleum Engineering". The lecture was chaired by Liu Wei, Vice-Dean of Petroleum Engineering College, and 20 teachers and students in related research directions participated in the lecture.
At the lecture, Professor Mofazzal Hossain first introduced the curricula of Curtin University, then introduced the current research activities of Curtin University, including research equipment and related projects of Curtin University in the field of petroleum engineering. Later, the participants had active interactions with Professor Mofazzal Hossain. After the lecture, Professor Mofazzal Hossain visited several scientific research laboratories. Head of the laboratory gave a detailed introduction of the laboratory to Professor Hossain.
Mofazzal Hossain, Associate Professor, Head of Petroleum Engineering, University of Curtin, Australia. Professor Hossain received his Ph.D. in 2001 from the University of New South Wales in Australia, worked as a reservoir engineer at Saudi Arabian Petroleum Corporation from 2000 to 2009, assistant professor at the University of Curtin in Australia from 2014 to now, director of the Department of Petroleum Engineering at the University of Curtin in Australia from 2015 to 2017, and director of the Department of Petroleum Engineering at the University of Curtin in Australia from 2018 to present. Head of Engineering Discipline; Published more than 50 journal/conference papers; Edited Energies magazine; Member of Australian Association of Engineers and SPE Association and other industry associations.
