Kur Kur Manyuat Makuac, from South Sudan, graduated from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) with a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering in 2019. In September 2014, he started to study in China with the support of CNPC. He has spent five unforgettable years in CUPB. On June 26, 2019, Mr Kur Kur Manyuat Makuac delivered a speech as a representative of the international graduates on CUPB Graduation Ceremony, recalled the "trouble" and "lucky" about his Chinese name, about "I am who I am. I am fireworks with different colors", expressed his attachment to his Alma mater. After graduation he will return to South Sudan to participate in the construction of his motherland.
