Chinese and International Students' Theme Activity of "Golden Autumn Festival" was Successfully Held
On October 24, 2021, the Sino-foreign Cultural Exchange Activity with the theme of "Pen and Ink Bear Fragrance, Beads form Flowers" was successfully held by the College of International Education, China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and jointly undertaken by Sino-Foreign Exchange Association and International Students Association. Chinese and international students gathered at the student activity center to participate in this activity.
This activity is divided into three parts: the first part is to make traditional Sudanese beads, feel foreign culture, the second part is to taste traditional Chinese cakes and learn traditional Chinese culture knowledge, the third part is to practice traditional Chinese calligraphy.
Beads are the traditional decorations of Sudan, an African country. International student ALI ABDALLAH BALAL MOHAND instructed Chinese and foreign students on the spot to learn how to make beads, and told them the profound cultural connotation of this small string of beads.
People say that "food is the nature of the people", Chinese food culture has a long history. In the second part of the activity, the Chinese students showed the self-made traditional Chinese cakes to the international students, and shared with the international students the traditional customs of Chinese people eating different cakes in different festivals, focusing on the Mid-Autumn Festival and Double Ninth Festival.
In the third part of this activity, Chinese and foreign students together practiced traditional Chinese calligraphy, copying "autumn" as the theme of Chinese poetry.
This activity was successfully held, through which the Chinese and foreign students enhanced communication and deepened their understanding of each other's cultures.
