ISAIP Holds the First International Students Academic Lecture


The international students’ academic platform held the first academic lecture on Thursday October 26th which comprised of four lectures by three masters students; Daniel Kigen, Mahesso Helio Zeca Armando and David Cova and one PhD student; Ahmed Sheraz. 

The  ive of this seminar was to promote knowledge sharing and for international students to learn from each other and furthermore improve their presentation skills as they prepare for their upcoming thesis defense.

The lectures included;

1. Natural Gas Hydrates a Future Source of Energy, Challenges in Exploitation and Production and Future Directions, presented by Sheraz

2. Multi-Attribute Analysis for Tight Gas Reservoir Characterization. A Case Study in the Sulihe Field, by David

3. Simple Step Synthesis of Highly Reflective Vertical MoS2 Anchored on Reduced Graphene for Enhanced Catalytic Activity and Improved Efficiency of Dye Sensitized Solar Cells, by Daniel

4. Numerical Research of the Viscoelastic Behavior of Shale Gas Rock and its Influence on Fracturing, by Heilo

All presenters showed a very good understanding of their topics and delivered a very thorough presentation. There was a lively participation by the audience who seemed very curious about the topics and wanted to gain a deeper understanding of each topic. This was shown by the many questions asked at the end of each lecture.
