Representatives of College of International Education Participated in the Summar
On the afternoon of November 17, the Summary Conference of the 10th Anniversary of Wang Tao Talent Scholarship and the award ceremony of 2018 were held in Cuigong lecture hall of China University of Petroleum (Beijing). Leaders from three major oil companies, including CNPC, SINOPEC, CNOOC and Chinese Petroleum Society of Education and nine petroleum universities in China, 21 winners of 2018 Wang Tao Talent scholarship, members of the "Dream Team" and representatives of teachers and students of CUPB gathered together to witness this memorable moment.
After preliminary application and evaluation, Khan Imran, a 2015 doctoral candidate major in geology of College of International Education, won the 2018 Wang Tao Talent Scholarship. At the ceremony, attendees presented Khan Imran and other winners with certificates of honor.
At the meeting, guests spoke to the winners, hoping them to keep in mind the old minister's aspiration, and to make persistent efforts to "strive for success, energy and glory".
Bayramdurdyyev Rahman, a 2017 doctoral candidate of College of International Education from Turkmenistan, and several other winners have also delivered a speech, reporting their achievements and perceptions in various fields of study and work. Members of the 2018 and previous "Dream Team" presented elaborate poetry recitation for the congress.
Wang Tao Talent Scholarship was set up by Wang Tao, former minister of Petroleum Industry, to award outstanding students in petroleum colleges and universities, support them to complete their studies and contribute to the oil industry in China and the world. A total of eight international students from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) have won the honor since 2011. At the same time, nine international students from Gubkin Russian State University Of Oil And Gas received scholarship support to come to our university for exchange or study for a master's degree.
