International Students of CUPB have Achieved Good Results in the 5th "Oriental Cup" Chinese Character Calligraphy Competition for Foreigners

Sponsored by the Publicity Department of Futian District Committee, guided by the Foreign Affairs Office of Futian District, co-organized by Shenzhen Calligraphers Association, specially guided by Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles and undertaken by Shenzhen Oriental Art Museum, the 5th "Oriental Cup" Chinese Character and Calligraphy Competition for Foreigners was successfully concluded in Shenzhen Oriental Art Museum. One international student from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) won the second prize, one won the third prize, three won the excellent awards and ten won the finalists’ award.

On September 16, 2021, the College of International Education of China University of Petroleum (Beijing) held the 5th "Oriental Cup" Chinese Character Calligraphy Competition for Foreigners -- Special Salon of China University of Petroleum (Beijing) in Room A306 of International Exchange Center. More than 50 international students from the Russian Federation, Nigeria, Sudan, Turkmenistan, Yemen, Libya, Pakistan and other countries participated in the competition. the College of International Education specially invited Mr. Liu Fengyu, member of China Petroleum Calligrapher's Association, to guide students' creation. Earlier, in order to cultivate students' interest in calligraphy, calligraphy appreciation and creation ability, broaden the students’ deep feelings of the path of Chinese traditional culture, the College of International Education of China University of Petroleum (Beijing) also positively inivited the members of China University of Petroleum (Beijing) Calligraphy Association to teach calligraphy to international students.  This year, China University of Petroleum (Beijing) submitted 87 calligraphy works to the competition organizing committee.
