CIE Held a Special Psychological Lecture on "Life and Learning Adjustment of International Students Under Epidemic Conditions"
On November 29, 2021, the College of International Education successfully held a special psychological lecture on "Life and Learning Adjustment of International Students Under Epidemic Conditions" in conference room 306 of the International Exchange Center. Mr. Wang Guangxin, associate professor of the School of Humanities of Beijing Forestry University, was specially invited as the keynote speaker. Domestic international students participated in the meeting offline and overseas international students participated in the meeting online.
At the beginning of the lecture, the counselor of the College Of International Education introduced Mr. Wang Guangxin and expressed warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to Mr. Wang Guangxin for his online psychological lecture.
During the lecture, Mr. Wang Guangxin explained in detail the life and learning status of international students under the epidemic situation in English, taught mental health knowledge to the students in simple terms, focused on systematic explanation and guidance from the aspects of self-awareness, emotional management and coping with pressure, and actively guided the students to face, understand and overcome pressure, maintain mental health, stabilize the "epidemic", guide students to accept reality and pay attention to themselves, and recommend professional psychological books to international students. At the end of the lecture, international students interacted with Mr. Wang Guangxin online and asked questions. Mr. Wang Guangxin patiently answered the students' questions one by one, and the communication atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant.
After the lecture, international students said that they had gained a lot and benefited a lot. Anxiety, tension and other emotions under the recent epidemic situation have been released. After the teacher's explanation, students had a new understanding of their own psychological situation, mastered the adjustment methods to deal with bad mood, and learned to face study and life with a more positive attitude.
