CUPB Hosts Forum on Dormitory Safety for International Students

To further enhance international students’ awareness of dormitory safety and promote the joint development of a civilized campus environment, the International Education College of China University of Petroleum (Beijing) recently organized a themed safety education forum for international students, titled “Building Safe Dormitories and Sharing a Harmonious Campus.”
Focusing on dormitory safety, administrative staff from the International Education College emphasized the need to strengthen students’ safety awareness, maintain a safe and orderly living environment, and jointly foster a secure, civilized, and harmonious residential atmosphere. Counselors, drawing on relevant cases, reported and analyzed recent violations in the dormitory buildings, highlighting the potential safety risks associated with such behaviors. Students were reminded to enhance their sense of discipline and responsibility and to strictly comply with university regulations. Apartment management staff briefly introduced their responsibilities and expressed their willingness to maintain close communication with international students, aiming to identify, address, and resolve issues at an early stage, thereby continuously improving students’ sense of satisfaction and well-being.
During the meeting, participating faculty and students engaged in discussions on routine safety inspections, fire safety facilities, and the management of public areas.
Looking ahead, the university will continue to improve the long-term mechanism for international student safety management, strengthen safety education, and optimize dormitory management and support services, providing solid support for cultivating high-quality international talents who know China, befriend China, and love China, and who possess both integrity and competence.
