Notice on applying for the 2024 China Link Scholarship Program
In order to deepen the academic friendship and mutual understanding between Chinese and foreign young generation, and to build a platform for the international exchanges and cooperation of young talents, China Scholarship Council (CSC) has established the China Link Scholarship Program for international students and faculties hoping to engage in academic and research activities in China. To fund outstanding foreign students and scholars to come to China for short-term studies lasting from 1 to 12 months. Details of the program are as follows:
Program Introduction：
Program Scheme
1. Funding Categories
General scholar: applicable to current undergraduates or master students.
Senior scholar: applicable to current Ph. D students or faculties
2. Duration: 1-12 months. Start study in China no later than August 31, 2025.
3. Working Language
English or Chinese, depending on the program provided by our university.
4. Study/Research Fields: All disciplines other than Chinese language study.
Funding
Successful applicants will receive a full scholarship from CSC during their stay in China, including a tuition waiver, free on-campus accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance and monthly stipend (CNY 3,000 for general scholars; CNY 3,500 for senior scholars).
Eligibility
1. Be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China and be in good health, both mentally and physically.
2. Be under 45 years of age when applying for general scholars. Be under 50 years of age when applying for senior scholars.
3. Be registered as a full-time student or employed as a full-time academic staff at CSC's foreign partner universities at the time of application and throughout their proposed stay in China. For a list of CSC's foreign partner universities, please refer to Appendix 1.
4. Have passed the admission qualification review of our university and be a new student to be admitted by our university.
5. Have received either the admission notice or the invitation letter issued by our university.
Application Process
1. Applicants should contact our university to obtain admission documents or invitations.
2. Applicants should log into the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login) to complete CSC online application and upload supporting documents.
3. Application will be processed by our university.
Other matters
1. The application deadline for this academic year is divided into three batches (July 10, 2024, October 10, 2025 and January 10, 2025). Applicants are requested to complete the online application and upload relevant materials by registering on the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login) before the application deadline.
2. The China Scholarship Council will give feedback on the scholarship admission results in batches before the following dates: August 15, November 15, 2024 and February 15, 2025. Finally, the College of International Education will issue the admission materials and visa materials to the applicants;
