Students whose residence permits will expire before August 31 must collect the required documents from Office 207 by July 25 and complete the visa extension application by August 15. If you leave China during the summer vacation, please contact Office 207 promptly after returning to China to update your accommodation registration.

Please send your updated address and proof of accommodation registration to Office 207 via WeChat as soon as possible. Students living off campus should also complete any required residence permit extension procedures in a timely manner and report their accommodation information to the College.
III. Summer Vacation Safety Reminders
1. Observe Laws, Regulations, and University Rules. Please comply with the laws and regulations of China as well as all University rules and regulations, and help maintain a safe and orderly learning and living environment. Students who violate Chinese laws and are penalized by the public security or judicial authorities will be subject to disciplinary action by the University, ranging from a serious warning to expulsion, depending on the severity of the offense. In particular, please avoid common violations such as illegal employment, overstaying your visa or residence permit, excessive drinking and disorderly conduct, and causing disturbances while living off campus.
2. Pay Attention to Traffic Safety. Please follow traffic laws and regulations and ensure your personal safety when traveling. Riding motorcycles, driving motor vehicles without a valid license, riding an electric bicycle without proper authorization, and drunk driving are strictly prohibited. When riding a legally registered electric bicycle, please do not speed, carry passengers, or ride against traffic. After entering the campus, electric bicycles must be parked in designated areas near the campus entrance and should not be ridden inside the campus. When cycling, please obey traffic rules, including not riding against traffic and not running red lights.
3. Strengthen Fire Safety Awareness.Fire safety is closely related to the life and property safety of every student. Please strictly follow the University's dormitory fire safety regulations. Hanging decorative lights in dormitories and storing flammable or explosive materials are strictly prohibited. Electric bicycles or batteries must not be brought into buildings for charging. Cooking or using kitchen appliances such as microwave ovens to heat food is strictly prohibited in areas other than designated public kitchens, and students must not leave the kitchen unattended while cooking.
Please pay special attention to the following requirements: ordinary paper, wooden containers, bamboo containers, plastic containers, and silicone containers must not be used to heat food in ovens. Although silicone baking paper can generally withstand temperatures up to 220°C, it is recommended not to use it for more than 20 minutes at such high temperatures due to potential fire risks. Microwave ovens must not be used with ordinary paper, wooden containers, bamboo containers, plastic containers, silicone containers, or metal containers. Eggs, milk, and fruits or vegetables such as watermelons, tomatoes, grapes, and dried chili peppers must not be heated in microwave ovens. Food should not be heated in a microwave oven for more than 5 minutes to prevent burning. When using electric stoves or electric ovens, no combustible materials should be placed above, below, or near the appliances.

4. Comply with Campus Safety Regulations. Please note that the University is a smoke-free campus. Smoking and using hookahs are strictly prohibited anywhere on campus, including both indoor and outdoor areas. Smoking is also prohibited in indoor places off campus. Do not cover, damage, or tamper with indoor smoke detectors; violations will result in serious disciplinary action. The use of open flames is strictly prohibited anywhere on campus, including both indoor and outdoor areas.
5. Enhance Fraud Prevention and Self-Protection Awareness. Please strengthen your safety awareness and take proper precautions to protect your personal safety, property, and online security. Keep important documents such as your passport and bank cards, as well as other valuable belongings, safe and secure. Do not trust unfamiliar phone calls, text messages, or online information; do not click on suspicious links or disclose personal information carelessly. Participation in online gambling, online part-time task scams (such as fraudulent “click farming” activities), or any form of illegal lending is strictly prohibited. When making money transfers or handling financial requests, always verify the information through multiple channels and contact College staff if necessary. When traveling, pay attention to food hygiene, avoid expired or spoiled food, drink alcohol responsibly, and take precautions to prevent accidents.
6. Pay Attention to Flood Prevention and Safety.
For students leaving campus: Before traveling, please check weather forecasts and warning information regarding heavy rain, flash floods, and geological disasters at your destination. Stay away from dangerous areas such as rivers, valleys, low-lying wetlands, steep slopes, and cliffs. Do not stay, play, or engage in activities in potentially hazardous areas.
For students staying on campus during the summer vacation: During heavy rainfall, please reduce unnecessary outdoor activities. Avoid waterlogged roads, underpasses, and underground spaces.
