2026 Winter Vacation Schedule and Related Matters

Dear students, the winter vacation of 2026 is approaching. To ensure your safety during the break, we have compiled the following precautions for international students. Please read them carefully and share them with your peers to enjoy a safe and joyful holiday!

Ⅰ. Winter vacation duration

Winter vacation: January 30,2026-March 8, 2026

The school will commence rotational leave starting from Friday, January 30,2026, with faculty members from various offices of the International Education College taking turns on duty. Please note that classes will resume on March 9, 2026. It is imperative to arrange your schedule in advance and avoid unexcused absences.

II. Regulations During the Holiday Period

1. All international students must comply with China's laws and regulations as well as the school's rules and regulations.

2. Please check your passport and visa expiration dates. Students requiring visa extensions must first contact Office 207 to obtain the application materials, then proceed to the immigration office for the extension service (students with visas expiring before March 6 must collect their materials by January 28 and complete the application by February 10).

3. Compliance with local laws and regulations. Individuals who violate national laws, decrees, or regulations and are penalized by public security or judicial authorities shall receive disciplinary actions ranging from severe warnings to expulsion from the academic program, depending on the severity of the offense. Particular attention should be paid to preventing common violations such as illegal employment, expired visas, alcohol-related disturbances, and disruptive off-campus accommodation.

4. Comply with traffic regulations and prioritize road safety. Motorcycles are prohibited, as is illegal operation of motor vehicles or unlicensed electric vehicles. Driving under the influence of alcohol is strictly forbidden. When riding an electric vehicle with valid credentials, maintain speed limits, do not carry passengers, and avoid riding against traffic flow. After entering the campus, park in designated areas near the school gate and refrain from moving around the campus. When riding bicycles, do not ride against traffic flow or run red lights.

5. The area within the Fifth Ring Road of Beijing (including the Fifth Ring Road) is a no-fireworks zone. Schools and their surrounding areas are prohibited from purchasing, storing, or setting off fireworks. Violators will be subject to administrative penalties for public security violations in accordance with the law.

6. Hanging colored lights is strictly prohibited, storing flammable or explosive materials in dormitories is forbidden, and bringing electric vehicles or batteries into the building for charging is prohibited.

7. Cooking or using kitchen appliances like microwaves in areas other than the public kitchen is strictly prohibited, and leaving the kitchen during cooking is forbidden. Special note: Do not use ordinary paper (silicone paper can withstand up to 220°C but should not exceed 20 minutes at this temperature to avoid fire risks), wooden containers, bamboo containers, plastic containers, or silicone containers to heat food in the oven. Microwaves must not be used with ordinary paper, wooden, bamboo, plastic, silicone, or metal containers for heating food. Microwaves are also prohibited for heating eggs, milk, or fruits and vegetables such as watermelon, tomatoes, grapes, and dried chili peppers. Microwave heating should not exceed 5 minutes to prevent food from burning. When using electric stoves or electric ovens, no flammable materials should be stored above or below them.

8. Smoking is harmful to health. Please note that the school is a smoke-free campus, and smoking or water pipe use is prohibited within the campus premises (including indoor/outdoor areas). Smoking is not allowed indoors in other off-campus locations. Do not obstruct or damage indoor smoke detectors, as violators will be dealt with strictly. Open flames are prohibited on campus (including indoor/outdoor areas).

9. According to the "Notice of the Beijing Municipal People's Government on the Announcement of the Controlled Airspace Scope for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)", the entire administrative area of Beijing is designated as the controlled airspace for UAVs. It is strictly prohibited for any individual to conduct flight activities without approval from the air traffic control authority, including illegal flying, launching civilian UAVs, aviation sports equipment, or airborne objects.

11. Complete destination reporting. Before the holiday begins, all students must complete the Stay/Leave Intent Form to report whether they will remain on campus during the holiday and their intended destinations after departure.

III. Safety Considerations for Traveling

1. Conduct safety inspections prior to leaving the premises. Before departure, strictly verify that all electrical appliances are powered off, power cords are disconnected, and air conditioners are turned off when unoccupied to prevent fire hazards and other safety incidents in unoccupied buildings.

2. Pay attention to traffic, dietary, and property safety during winter vacation, enhance self-protection and safety awareness, and promptly communicate with the counselor in case of emergencies.

3. Traffic Safety Guidelines: Maintain traffic order and practice safe travel when going out. Always use pedestrian crossings, overpasses, or underpasses when crossing roads, and remain alert to approaching vehicles. Avoid renting or riding in vehicles without valid operating licenses to prevent traffic accidents. Stay updated on weather forecasts and take precautions against secondary disasters caused by extreme weather conditions such as heavy snow, strong winds, low temperatures, and icy roads.

4. Pay attention to food hygiene and safety: Prevent various respiratory diseases in winter by avoiding consumption of expired or spoiled food. During travel, choose reputable restaurants with safe environments and good sanitary conditions for dining. Moderate consumption of alcohol during gatherings or meals is recommended.

5. Protect personal assets: Always keep your belongings secure when traveling, and avoid storing cash or valuables in your dormitory. Stay alert to scams and pyramid schemes, and guard against all types of traps. Exercise caution when interacting with strangers to prevent falling victim to fraud. Refuse any form of solicitation and strictly protect your personal information. Safeguard your valid identification documents; never lend them to others. Always carry a copy of your valid ID with you when going out.

6. Enhance cybersecurity awareness: Exercise caution against telecom and internet fraud by refraining from clicking on unknown links, distrusting unfamiliar calls, disclosing personal information, or engaging in unregulated online lending. Always verify the authenticity of any transfer or remittance, and promptly communicate with your office supervisor if any suspicious activity is detected.

7. Complete accommodation registration in a timely manner. Within China, after arriving at a new accommodation location, you must complete accommodation registration at the nearest police station within 24 hours or online in accordance with local laws and regulations, and send the latest accommodation address and registration form to 207-office WeChat. Off-campus students must comply with laws and regulations, promptly process the extension of residence permits and accommodation registration, and proactively send scanned copies of relevant materials to the college. If you change your accommodation address, please inform the college proactively. After arriving at a new accommodation location, you must complete accommodation registration at the nearest police station within 24 hours or online in accordance with local laws and regulations, and send the latest accommodation address and registration form to 207-office WeChat.

IV. Precautions for Students Retaining at the University

1. Time for opening and closing the dormitory door: Open at 6:30 in the morning, close at 23:00 in the evening. For those who fail to return home on time after the apartment building locks the door without valid reasons, they will be given a warning for criticism.For those who stay out late without approval, they will be given a serious warning. For violations (such as climbing over walls or windows), entering the dormitory will result in even more severe punishments.Those who stay out overnight without approval will receive a severe warning. 2. For special circumstances such as emergency medical treatment or medication purchase requiring nighttime departure during the apartment's closed hours, please contact the property management staff directly to request access. For early morning departures due to train/flight schedules, students with academic credentials must scan and submit the QR code with completed information and supporting documents at least one day in advance. Students in the Chinese language class should contact Ms.He Man at least one day prior to departure to apply and provide proof.

3. Consciously maintain dormitory safety. Do not lend room keys to others or entrust them to others for safekeeping. No external personnel shall stay overnight in the dormitory. Pay attention to external personnel entering and exiting the dormitory. In case of suspicious situations, promptly report to the on-duty staff or the security office.

4. Pay attention to the safety of electricity and water usage. Do not cook in the dormitory room, and do not use kitchen appliances such as microwave ovens to heat food. The use of non-compliant electrical appliances, such as electric blankets and electric stoves, is strictly prohibited. If any abnormalities are detected, please contact the dormitory front desk staff immediately.

5. Students staying on campus should maintain personal space and public areas in good condition, and take good care of the dormitory facilities.

5. School Service Arrangements

1. During the winter vacation (January 30 to March 5), the south gate of the East Campus will be temporarily closed. All personnel and motor vehicles are required to enter and exit through the west gate of the East Campus. Off-campus vehicles (except for essential service vehicles) are prohibited from entering the East Campus. From February 15 to February 23 (the statutory Spring Festival holiday), the north gate of the North Campus and the southwest gate of the South Campus will be temporarily closed. Other campus gates will remain open as usual during the winter vacation.

2. Additionally, all faculty, students, staff, and external visitors must undergo identity verification by security personnel upon entry. Tailgating or unauthorized passage through gates is strictly prohibited. Foreign nationals must register their passports at the school entrance before entering. Those visiting student dormitories must register at the front desk. No external individuals are permitted to remain in student dormitories after 10:00 PM.

Guest Reception: When non-student residents of the international student dormitory visit, they must cooperate with the on-duty staff at the property management office for inspection and registration, retain relevant identification documents, and be escorted by the guest to the entrance of the dormitory. No overnight stays are permitted. Reception hours: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

3. Library Opening Hours

According to the school's 2026 winter vacation schedule, the library will be open from January 30 to March 5, and will resume normal operations starting March 6.
