Notice for newly admitted students (2020/21 Academic year) (Notice 7)

ADDITIONAL PROCEDURES TO TAKE WHILE REPORTING TO THE UNIVERSITY

These are reminders for students that will be reporting to the university for the beginning of this semester.

1. ALL STUDENTS OUTSIDE CHINA SHOULD WAIT FOR THE UNIVERSITY NOTICE ON THE WEBSITE TO ALLOW REPORTING OF STUDENTS OUTSIDE CHINA BEFORE YOU BEGIN YOUR JOURNEY TO CHINA. (No student will be allowed on campus before such a notice is published)

2. ALL STUDENTS IN CHINA in addition to the letter of departure from your former university, are supposed to take a Nucleic Acid Test for COVID-19 and present a Nucleic Acid Test Certificate for COVID-19 showing a negative result taken within the past 5 days prior to reporting to the university, and the green Health with the "HS" Symbol.

ALL STUDENTS OUT OF CHINA Please visit the Chinese embassy website in your country for the notice with detailed information on the approved testing facilities and how to apply for the Health Declaration Form.

  • a. On entry into China you will be required to undergo mandatory quarantine at your own cost, please prepare some money for these expenses as you report. After being assigned a quarantine center, please inform the university of your assigned quarantine center. You should also do so when you have finished quarantine and are released to precede to the university so that we know when to expect your arrival at the university campus.

  • c. Students coming to China for the first time are advised to exchange some Chinese money in their countries. (Ren min bi - RMB) to enable them purchase a SIM card on arrival and be able to connect to mobile internet for ease of communication upon arrival.

  • d. Students are advised to download and register on the Wechat App to make communication in china easy as this is the most widely used mode of day to day communication.
