Due to the effects of COVID-19 that have caused many undergraduate applicants to delay their HSK examinations and graduation of their High Schools this year, CUPB has decided to set two deadlines for undergraduate applications as follows.

1. The early application deadline for application for all undergraduate courses for the academic year 2020 and all scholarships is set for 15^th June 2020. Applicants that have submitted their applications by this date will be interviewed in that week.

2. The second round of applications will run from 15^th June 2020 to 25^th June 2020. This will be the last chance for students to submit undergraduate applications and apply for any scholarship offered at CUPB. Any undergraduate applications submitted after 25^th June 2020 will not be accepted. Therefore, 25^th June 2020 marks the late application deadline for applications for the 2020 academic year.

Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible to avoid any delays due to inability to make the deadlines.

Applicants are also reminded that according to the notice from the China Scholarship Council, starting from this year's intake, ALL APPLICANTS OF THE CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP ‘SILK ROAD PROGRAM’ SHOULD HAVE A MINIMUM OF HSK 3 (180) TO BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY. However, the minimum required level for direct entry into the bachelor's program at China University of Petroleum, Beijing still remains HSK 4 (222) and applicants for Chinese taught programs who do not fulfill this requirement will undergo a one-year Chinese Language preparatory course.
