The “Chinese-African Kung Fu Show” was organized by the Foreign Affairs Commission of CPC Henan Province Committee, the Henan Provincial Sports Bureau, CGTN and the European and Latin American Language Programming Center of China Media Group, and is co-organized by the Henan Provincial Martial Arts Management Center. The purpose of this event is to strengthen international cultural exchanges, provide a platform for exchange and demonstration for martial arts enthusiasts from China and the African continent, and promote mutual learning between China and Africa. The “Chinese-African Kung Fu Show” will consist of a series of activities such as short videos produced by the candidates with the theme "Let's practice martial arts together", another activity will see previously submitted videos being judged by martial arts masters. The third activity is a trip of discovery in Henan for qualified candidates. Finally, the last activity is an award ceremony. The specific requirements are now notified as follows:

I. “Let's practice martial arts together”: call for entries for short martial arts videos: get started now (keep an eye out for the official announcement for the deadline).

II. Allowed languages：Chinese, French or English

III. Video format：Video can be filmed using cell phone or camera, with horizontal framing. The video format should be high definition MP4; the file size should not exceed 400MB and the duration of the video should be less than 3 minutes.

IV. Email: Short videos should be submitted by email to kungfushow@cgtn.com. You are kindly requested to write a text (in Chinese, French or English only) by following the instructions (1) to (4) and send the photos following the instruction (5) as an attachment.

(1) The name of the participants in the activity.

(2) The country where the participant is located.

(3) The city of the participant.

(4) A written transcript of the candidate's presentation in the video.

(5) 3 digital photos of the candidate practicing martial arts. The face should be clearly seen in the photos.

V. Conditions of submission：

This event is for martial arts enthusiasts in China and Africa to collect martial arts videos. Participants in the event are not subject to age, gender or profession limits. The authenticity of the martial arts in the video must be guaranteed.

VI. Specific conditions for the content of short videos：

(1) Presentation in Chinese/French/English of the candidate (s): name, country or region, etc.;

My name is ***

I'm from *** (city, region, country)

I demonstrate: *** boxing / weapon

(2) Demonstration of martial arts, mainly Shaolin Kung Fu and Taijiquan, but other types of martial arts are also welcome. Several forms of martial arts are admitted: alone or with others, with or without weapons

(3) The video must not contain any illegal material, such as pornography, violence, racial discrimination, or any advertising material.

(4) Participants can register as an individual, group, institution, etc. Each entity can only present one video for selection.

(5) The background of the video should not include any words or advertisements.

VII. Broadcast of collected short videos

The collected short videos will be posted on CGTN Français, the official website of the event（www.2021kungfu.com）, G shot of CMG Mobile, and Kuaishou (The exact time of the launch of official website will be communicated later)

VIII. Rules of selection

The organizers will select a series of prizes (Prize for the best organization, Prize for the best shooting, Prize for the best performance in front of the camera, Prize for the best popularity of the network, Prize for the best potential, Honorable mention) according to the overall quality of the short videos submitted.

IX. Prize

Following the announcement of the winners, the Organizer will send a notification to all winners. If no one confirms or claims the prize within seven working days of notification, the prize is considered automatically forfeited.

X. The organizer cannot be held responsible if the event cannot take place due to a case of force majeure, legislative and regulatory provisions or orders or notifications from other authorized authorities.

XI. All disputes arising from participation in this activity will be resolved by friendly negotiation between the organizer and the participant. If the parties fail to reach an amicable settlement, the dispute will be brought to the Haidian District People's Court, Beijing, and the dispute will be settled in accordance with Chinese law.

XII. Copyright

1. The participant confirms that he owns all the copyright of the selected video, and that the selected video and the material used will not infringe the rights and legal interests of a third party, including intellectual property rights, image rights, reputation rights and privacy rights, and will not violate the provisions of relevant laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China. 

2. If the participating video infringes the intellectual property rights and / or other legitimate rights and interests of a third party, the participant will be solely responsible for handling the corresponding disputes and for indemnifying the third party; if the aforementioned facts cause prejudice to the organizer or to the license holder, the participant will have to compensate the total amount. 

3. The participant agrees to grant the event organizers a worldwide, free, perpetual, irrevocable and non-exclusive license to distribute and use the participant's video, in whole or in part, for any purpose of advertising, promotion, exhibition, publication, reproduction, modification, adaptation, translation, etc., on the multimedia platform of the event organizers and the designated third-party platforms, as regards concerns the copyright and related rights (except the attribution right) of the participant's video. 

4. The copyright in the programs produced by the organizer or the authorized party from the participant's videos remains the property of the organizer or the authorized party, and the organizer or the authorized party has the right to use the programs produced from the participant's videos in any form, either alone or by granting to third parties the right to do so in their capacity as the original rights holder, without having to obtain the participant's consent again.

XIII. The final right of interpretation of this event belongs to the organizers.
