Dean’s Message
The CUPB School of Foreign Languages has taken a great leap since its establishment. We have highlighted the expertise of our university by integrating the study of petroleum and culture with language teaching and studies. To further broaden our research field, we established the Research Institute of Global Energy Public Opinion, which offers another effective interdisciplinary means for language practice and research. Over the years, we have developed a number of outstanding faculty members devoted to education and academic studies. Thanks to their efforts, we have cultivated interdisciplinary graduates with both language proficiency and comprehensive knowledge of the petroleum industry and cultures, hence distinguishing ourselves from counterparts in other science and engineering colleges. In the future, we will provide greater opportunities to our students and make language learning a fun and fruitful process.
Aiming to become a first-rate school for foreign language teaching and cultural studies of the oil-producing countries, we are actively seeking collaborations with educators and researchers around the world to promote education exchange and interdisciplinary research. The School of Foreign Languages aims to provide the finest education and research training to students, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. We welcome collaborations with experts interested in public opinion studies, as well as linguistic, cultural and translation studies, and with educators interested in language teaching, and welcome student candidates to apply to CUPB School of Foreign Languages.
Best Wishes
